Bad Gyal has just released the video clip of “Internationally”, one of the most outstanding – if not the most – of his second mixtape.
“Internationally” was not single or advance of “Worldwide Angel” (Pure Records / Canada, 18), but from the moment it was released it was revealed as one of the great themes of it.
His position on the tracklist (it’s the first song except the intro), the catchy chorus and the production of Jam City and Dubbel Dutch explain easily why, and it is likely that this video clip adds to the list of reasons.
It is directed by Bàrbara Farré, who has worked with Rosalia or North State before, is produced by Story and has the absolute protagonism of Alba Farelo, who dances both alone and accompanied by a body of dancers with an aesthetic reminiscent of pop and late r & b of the nineties and the beginning of the two thousand.
In the words of Farré, “in this song it was impossible not to imagine her as an international star, as a Bad Gyal capable of reaching the entire universe”.
The truth is that it does not take much imagination to see Bad Gyal there: he has media like FACT, Clash, The Fader or Pitchfork after his steps and this summer he has a state, European and North American tour
