Three of the most beautiful feathers in the history of French rap join forces in the music video of “#PLMV”, third excerpt from Storyteller, the next album of Medine
Already in 1997 on the mythical album “L’École du micro d’argent”, IAM emphasized the fact that not everyone was born under the same star. This time, it is The League, the engaged trio composed of Medine, Youssoupha and Kery James, who gives a layer with the piece “#PLMV”.
Meaning “Not the same life”, this title was one of the most awaited the next album of the rapper from Le Havre, Storyteller. The piece marks the return of an emblematic trio of French rap formed by Medine, Youssoupha and Kery James. This collective pen sharp and committed baptized “La Ligue” is reforming, five years after its one and only piece, “Contre nous”.
As a reminder, in this powerful rap, the three accomplices denounced the omnipresence of clashes in French rap, and the dangers they represented, in a beef assembled from scratch. A little in context, the piece came out at the peak of the rivalries between Booba and Rohff, La Fouine and Kaaris.
For their second project, our rappers are working in their respective couplets to evoke in turn their past commuter on a prod prod dark concocted by Coolax: the sale of drugs, living in the HLM or the discrimination they have is about. Kery James even took the opportunity to place a spike to H & M who, a few months ago, offered a very bad publicity with his t-shirt “the coolest monkey of the jungle”.
Although no new declaration has been made on this subject, this collaboration inevitably revives the debate on the potential joint project of the League announced five years ago. Until we know more, we will be able to enjoy this appetizer on the next album of Medine, Storyteller, to be released this Friday, April 13th.
Not to mention his concert event at Bataclan on October 20, as announced in the clip of the same name. A sumptuous visual in which we saw Orelsan and Youssoupha take refuge in the land of dreams.
